The ever popular Brand Excellence organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing is scheduled to take place for the 7th successful year. The main objective of Brand Excellence is to recognize the performance of Brand Champions at the National Level, while promoting and popularizing the concept of Branding within Sri Lanka.
The importance of Branding is not adequately understood by many an entrepreneur in Sri Lanka. It is the brand that adds the biggest amount of value to the Balance Sheets of most of the top global companies.
The prime objective of SLIM is to make marketing the driving force of the national economy. In doing so brand building has become one of the key success factors in the construction of a solid economy. Unfortunately Sri Lankans have become commodity suppliers rather than marketers in that sense, thus minimizing the profit potential of the company.
People’s awards, National Sales Congress (NASCO), Ad Awards (EFFIES) & Brand Excellence are some of the projects launched by SLIM to popularize marketing among the business sector as well as the public sector thereby strengthening our economy while bringing happiness to the citizens of Sri Lanka.
This year’s Brand Excellence will be staged with a lot of new developments learnt over the years. The top performers will have an opportunity to showcase their success to the nation at this glamorous event. We expect the recognition of brand champions will also motivate the people behind the brand success to do even better in the future thus enhancing profitability of their organizations.
