With an extensive and impressive track record of 13 years in Brands/Marketing and General management, Mangala is certainly an individual who is well versed in the business at hand.

A Graduate from the University of Sri Jayawardenepura, specializing in Marketing he has completed his post graduate studies specializing in Business & Financial Administration.

On the road to this current senior position as Chief Operating Officer at Scan Products Division of C W Mackie PLC, Managala has over the years travelled a very colourful and illustrious path rubbing shoulders with literally a number of international brands, the very popular “Sunquick”,‘Weet-Bix’ and “Huggies”’Lexi’ being just some of them.He was also a senior member of the team that developed the very popular Scan Jumbo Peanuts and Scan Mineral Water.

As an active professional he represented the Executive Committee of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing for 3 years, was the Sub Committee Chairman for the POP Awards in 2006 and the Project Chairman for SLIM-AC Nielsen People’s Awards, 2007.He has also represented several national level project committees.

A one time visiting lecturer to the Management Faculty,at the University of Sri Jayawardenepura, Mangala is also a fellow member of the Australian Sales & Marketing Association, which was gathered in his 2 year overseas stint as Asia Pacific Regional Business Development Manager for a Sydney based Australian company and was basically in charge of the Papua New Guinea , Samoa , Tonga , American Samoa , Western Samoa and Sri Lankan markets. As BDM he was fortunate to activate with internationally reputed MNC’s like Kimberly Clark , Sanitarium Health Food Company , Golden Circle Company , Arnott’s Biscuits and Eveready, working directly with global brands such as Weet –Bix , Skippy , So-Good , Huggies , Kleenex , Kotex , Snugglers , Arnott’s Biscuits and Nivea to name but a few.
