Commenced working career as a Trainee Executive at Mackwoods Ltd. Was subsequently Sales Manager at Carson Cumberbatch & Co. Ltd. Started Ferro Trading Ltd in 1982. Currently Chairman of the Ferro Trading Group.
Past Secretary and current Trustee of the Royal College Union.
Charter President of the Rotary Club of Colombo Metropolitan.
Past President of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing.
Married to Shyami Cabraal. Father of Anisha a surgeon, and Shanika a graphic design student.
