Riyaaz currently holds the dual Role of Deputy CEO and CFO at Etisalat Sri Lanka. He counts for approximately 20 years of experience mainly in the Finance field in a career which started M/s Ernst & Young. Riyaaz made a career move from the Hayleys group to Telecommunication in 1996. In a dynamic Telecom career which spans over the last 15 years he has covered most areas in the business covering Finance to Customer Care, Billing to Collection, Treasury to Supply-chain. As Riyaaz was associated with Multinational giants as Millicom & Etisalat he had gained significant training and exposure to Telecom & Finance fields globally.
As a professional Accountant Riyaaz is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants Sri Lanka (FCMA SL) & an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants U.K. (ACMA UK). He is also professionally qualified in IFRS & SOX (Sarbanes Oxley). Riyaaz who had his entire school career at Trinity College Kandy, also hold a Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) & commands a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Postgraduate institute of Management (PIM).
