Serving for the third year as member of the Brand Excellence jury, Srikanth is a marketer with abounding experience and a diverse career of over 12 years in the Pharmaceutical, FMCG, F&B Industries. He currently operates from Malaysia heading the global marketing operations spanning 55 countries as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of the downstream business of Goodhope Asia Holdings (part of Carsons group). Previously he was Director of Marketing, at the global MNC GlaxoSmithKline - consumer business, managing the reputed Panadol, Horlicks, Sensodyne, Viva brands. He also was the Vice President of the blue chip conglomerate, John Keells Holdings (JKH), heading the Soft Drinks operations, spearheading market leading Elephant house brands.
Srikanth's quest and passion to share his knowledge, has witnessed him engaging as both an examiner and author of marketing related academic reference texts. Over the last decade, he has imparted his knowledge and experience to over 15,000 students, as a Senior Lecturer at the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), the London School of Economics External Programme, Wisdom Business School and ICFAI University, lecturing on the topics of branding, strategy and management. Whilst being a visiting lecturer at the University of Colombo and other local universities, Srikanth has been recognized as a leading educator for both CIM and CIMA programs in Sri Lanka and has been invited to deliver guest lecturers in India, Malaysia and other countries. He also has conducted training programmes for leading corporates such as Intel, Fonterra, Caltex, Coke, Triumph, Pfizer and the CIC Group to name a few.
Possessing a bachelor's degree in Pharmaceuticals and an MBA from the University of Lincoln, UK, Srikanth is a Certified Professional Marketer (Asia), Chartered Marketer (CIM), Fellow Member and a Post Graduate Diploma holder in Marketing from CIM UK with the distinction of being awarded as a Sri Lankan prize winner. Specializing in Psychology for his post graduate studies, Srikanth has also completed an MSC in IT and post graduation in International Relations, both from the University of Colombo. Backed by his qualifications and experiences, he holds the honour of co-authoring a text "Understanding Customers" (Consumer Psychology).
Srikanth has been a board director of the IAA (International Advertising Association) and held position of the Chairman of the Chillies 2007 Steering Committee.
