Vijith is the Founder and Chairman of Sri Lanka’s largest Independent Advertising Company, Q&E (Inc.1991), Sri Lanka’s specialist company in Annual Report production, Smart Media (Inc.1994) and Sri Lanka’s leading Software Engineering Company for web based software, Affno (Inc 2000). These are arguably the most valuable brands in their respective categories in Sri Lanka. Vijith was an early proponent who created awareness and understanding about brands and branding among the corporate and marketing communities of Sri Lanka in the late 90s. He is a keen researcher in knowledge management and intellectual capital and works closely with world authorities in the field. The International Board of Trustees of The Chartered Institute of Marketing in UK recently conferred an Honorary Fellowship on Vijith in recognition of his entrepreneurship and contribution towards Marketing. A Medical Doctor turned entrepreneur, he is also a Director of the Children’s Heart Project of Sri Lanka. An organization supporting the improvement of diagnosis, treatment and care of children’s heart disease in Sri Lanka.
