Gowri is currently advisor to HRH Prince Mish’al Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Bin Abdul Aziz of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a Consultant and Representative of the Gulf Bureau for Research and Economic Consultations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and will soon be taking office as Country President for Kampac Group of Companies, Sri-Lanka and Maldives.
She is also developing a finance and restructuring Consulting Company mainly for SME in Bahrain, and travels widely within GCC countries consulting in International Finance and Business Development. She Counts over 22 years of experience in the fields of finance, strategic planning, business development, IT Strategy and Enterprise Risk Management in Sri Lanka, Middle East and United Kingdom. She has experience in sectors such as F&B, Logistics, Hospitality, Plantation, IT, Real Estate development, Leasing and Finance.
She has been on the CIMA Council since 1999. Her service of over 14 years for CIMA includes her role as the Conference Chairperson for the Business Leaders Summit “Good to Great” in June 2007, addressing the Students Conference in 2001, Chairperson for Student Development and Growth, Member Services, Conversion of passed finalists, Library Committees and served as a member in Technical Research committee, IT committee and the Promotions Public Relations Committee. She became the Vice President for CIMA Sri Lanka in 2006 and Deputy President in 2007. Gowri continues to function as an assessor on the UK Institute’s membership assessment panel.
Gowri is also an accomplished Toastmaster and has been Vice President Education for the Colombo Toastmasters Club from 1999 to 2000 and has held Speech Craft programs for over 40 companies.
